As a member of the queer community and child of an El Salvadorian immigrant, Asylum Pride House’s mission is something that is very near and dear to Emily’s heart. She was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia, attended Temple University for undergrad, and now lives in Fairmount with her wife, Briana, and their cat Winter.

During the summer of 2023, she and her wife hosted Asylum Pride House's first clients in their home and have continued to support this important work ever since. Emily will be starting law school in the fall at Delaware Law School and hope to bring her previous legal experience and new knowledge to the work of Asylum Pride House.
